What We Do
We mobilize communities to use their own social structures, resources and be a part of the decision making process to address their own problems as peculiar to their community and bring about solutions that best suit them.
Our community projects include Climate & Environmental awareness Programs, Wastes Management, Capacity Building, and Change through collective action.
Climate change is not a prophecy of what is to come it is already happening, the effects are already visible and will cause more damage if we do not act now. Through our approaches; education, innovation and climate action, we believe together we can take necessary steps to restore our deteriorating climate to safe pre-industrial level of atmospheric CO2 to protect our planet and promote sustainability.
We need to take urgent action to combat the effect of climate change!
We are dedicated to improving waste management habits – proper waste disposal, recycling used resources, creating green jobs, utilizing sustainable / renewable energy sources, adopting green agriculture and limiting the impact of human-induced climate change.
We are achieving this through Awareness, Community Engagement, and Climate Smart Agriculture
A warming climatic system can impact the availability of basic necessities like freshwater, food security, community peace and energy, while efforts to redress climate change, both through adaptation and mitigation, will similarly inform and shape the global development agenda. The links between climate change and sustainable development are strong. Poor and developing countries, particularly least developed countries, will be among those most adversely affected and least able to cope with the anticipated shocks to their social, economic and natural systems.
Significant factors responsible for environmental problems are pollution, over-population, threat of diseases, unsustainable agriculture, global climate change, solid wastes generation and so on. This has, therefore, revealed the need for developing innovative solutions to these problems and one among them is Management of Solid Wastes. To this end, we are adopting various approach towards sustainable development by employing various techniques for managing solid wastes to minimize its detrimental effect on the environment.
